Choosing Wangaratta West means joining a supportive community where every child is valued, inspired and encouraged to thrive.

Enrolments.

From April 2026, Wangaratta West Primary School is moving to the Department of Education’s secure digital enrolment system, VicStudents. This new process allows parents and carers to submit Foundation (Prep) applications online and receive real-time updates through the portal.

The VicStudents system meets high-level Victorian Protective Data Security Standards to ensure your information remains secure. Once you accept an offer, you will be required to provide additional personal and health information which is then shared securely with the school.

School Zones

Wangaratta West Primary School’s designated enrolment zone can be viewed on the Find My School website, which provides the most up to date information on Victorian school zones.

Students who live within our school zone are guaranteed a place at the school, based on their permanent residential address. Families also have the option to apply for enrolment at other schools, subject to availability.

The Department of Education’s School Placement Policy ensures that all students have access to their local neighbourhood school while maintaining flexibility for families to choose other schools where possible.

For further information, including frequently asked questions about school zones, please visit the Department of Education website.

If you have any questions, you can contact the VSBA Hotline on 1800 896 950 or email vsba@edumail.vic.gov.au
