Uniform

School Uniform.

The Wangaratta West Primary School Council maintains a policy of compulsory school uniform for all students. School uniform is required to be worn by all students attending school, as it promotes a sense of identity. Uniform items such as bucket hat, shirts with school logo and navy blue check dress can be purchased from Worklocker, Wangaratta.

THE SCHOOL UNIFORM COMPRISES OF:

HATS
- Navy Blue School hat, broad brimmed/brushed cotton with school logo (bucket style). Compulsory from 1st September until the 1st of May. Hats must be clean, named, in good repair and worn correctly.
- WWPS beanies can be purchased from the school office.

TOPS WITH SCHOOL LOGO
- Navy polar fleece or soft shell jacket with logo
- Navy with pale blue trim short or long sleeve polo shirt

BOTTOMS
- Plain navy blue cotton drill pants
- Plain navy blue track pants
- Plain navy blue shorts
- Navy blue skort
- Navy blue check dress

FOOTWEAR
- All footwear must enclose the toe and be low heeled. School shoes and sandals must be black, brown or navy. Sneakers /runners are acceptable in a neutral colour.
- Socks must be navy blue, black or white in colour. NO multicolour/fluro socks.

HAIR
- To be clean and neat. Long hair is to be tied back.
- Head bands, ribbons, scrunchies and hair ties must be navy blue.

Grade 6.

As part of their Grade 6 uniform, students have the opportunity to wear a special Grade 6 commemorative t-shirt throughout their final year of primary school. The t-shirt helps foster a sense of unity, pride, and belonging among the graduating cohort as they celebrate this important milestone together.

In addition to being worn as part of the school uniform, the t-shirt also serves as a treasured keepsake for students to remember their final year and the friendships and memories made along the way. A special feature of the design is the inclusion of every student’s name from the Grade 6 cohort printed on the back of the shirt, creating a lasting piece of memorabilia that students can cherish for years to come.

The Grade 6 t-shirt is a meaningful tradition that celebrates community, connection, and the journey through primary school.
